The UK's leading tribute to Bad Manners

THE LEGACY

Dad Manners is a tribute to one of the biggest 2Tone bands to come out of the early 1980’s: Bad Manners, with hits such as Nee Nee Na Na Na Na Nu Nu, My Girl Lollipop, Lip Up Fatty, Can Can, Special Brew, Walking in the Sunshine and That'll Do Nicely. Formed in 1976, and known for their on stage energy and crazy antics, and centred around their larger-than-life front man, Buster Bloodvessel, they burst onto the scene in 1980, spending 111 weeks in the UK Singles Chart from 1980 until 1983.

Dad Manners formed in 2021 as an 8-piece band that includes ex full-time members of Bad Manners, touring and recording with the band. Dad Manners is fronted by Alan Driver, a charismatic figure on stage, backed up by strong vocals.

Everyone in the band is a committed fan of ska; given this and our line-up, we believe (and have been told by fans) that the Dad Manners sound is about as close as you could get to the original, high intensity energy of 2Tone ska.

"Four years at Oakdene and have just seen the best band in that time: Dad Manners. Close your eyes and it's like seeing the real Bad Manners. Great night all round, but they topped it off"
